The aim of my PhD studies was to identify and evaluate the risk factors of road injuries and elaborate preventive measurements among population of the Republic of Moldova.
The iCREATE project offered me the valuable opportunity to acquire new research skills and methodologies, data analysis tools and advanced statistical methods thought my entire involvement period, which allow me focusing in depth on road injury prevention in Moldova. Due to iCREATE project, I was involved in 2 experiential learning projects, the results of which were at the basis of the material presented in my PhD. It also helped me to increase my researcher’s visibility within the academic community and beyond, get involved in conferences, workshops, or other research-related opportunities, further contributing to my professional development. I get the chance to collaborate with experts and scholars from different countries and institutions. Overall being part of the project, I am grateful to the entire implementation team for the valuable experiences, resources, and collaborations that ultimately contributed to my academic journey and successful completion of their PhD studies in road injury prevention.
The multidisciplinary approach in the collection, analysis and interpretation of the results included in my PhD thesis is current and presents elements of originality compared to other studies implemented so far in the Republic of Moldova. The scientific results obtained during the research were presented and discussed in the following:
