EU-SAFETY Conference

The European Conference on Injury Prevention and Safety Promotion 2019 (EU-Safety 2019) took place on 3 & 4 October in Luxembourg being organized by Eurosafe in collaboration with the Luxembourg Institute of Health.

The conference focused on  “Research for enhancing impact of strategies and actions” and brought together European and international stakeholders and practitioners in injury prevention and safety promotion that exchanged, debated and discussed the latest results in injury research, policies and practices. The iCREATE team was represented at the conference by 8 members of the project that had a number of 4 pitch presentations and 1 oral presentation from the iCREATE and INITIatE project. The pitch presentations focused on traumatic brain injuries in the Republic of Armenia, Georgia and Republic of Moldova and were presented by Dr. Madalina Coman, Dr. Eugeniu Mindrigan, Dr. Nino Chikhladze and Dr. Nato Pitskhelauri.

The oral presentation conducted by Dr. Corinne Peek-Asa discussed how to increase injury surveillance capacity in Eastern Europe.
