HELLO, MY NAME IS
Master’s studies
Kristine Ajamoghlyan is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Public Health at Mkhitar Heratsi Yerevan State Medical University, specializing in Healthcare Management and Planning. She also graduated from Armenian State Pedagogical University with a Bachelor’s degree in Special Pedagogy, specializing in Speech Therapy (2019-2023). Kristine has experience in educational and developmental roles. Her research focuses on violence and injury prevention among juvenile populations, with a particular interest in enhancing public health strategies through improved communication and management practices.
As a recipient of the iCREATE Injury and Violence Prevention Training Program, I had the opportunity to complete one semester of focused studies at the Department of Public Health, Faculty of Political, Administrative, and Communication Sciences at Babes-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. This academic experience provided me with great insight into the latest public health methodologies and practices, particularly in the context of violence and injury prevention. Exposure to an international academic environment not only broadened my understanding of the subject but also allowed me to develop advanced research skills and establish meaningful collaborations with peers and faculty. The international collaboration opportunities and practical experience gained during the program have been instrumental in shaping my approach to public health research and intervention. Additionally, the project contributed to my professional development by introducing me to project management and grant writing. These experiences have helped me develop important skills for a successful academic career, including leadership, teamwork, and effective communication.
My research focuses on studying the prevalence of burns among children in Armenia. The purpose of the study is to determine the prevalence of burns among children and to analyze the epidemiological characteristics.
Overall, the combination of the iCREATE project and my international academic experience has had a key impact on my future postgraduate orientation and future activities.
Thanks to the iCREATE program, I participated in the international Summer School on Violence and Injury Prevention 2024 (SCOPE), which provided an additional opportunity to strengthen my professional knowledge and establish new international connections. I look forward to continuing to present topics related to violence and injury prevention, contributing to the global conversation around these important public health issues.
