Violence against children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a critical public health issue in Armenia that remains insufficiently studied. This research aimed to explore the manifestations of violence against children with ASD through in-depth interviews. These interviews focused on the experiences of parents whose children attend centers supporting children with ASD.

Parents shared their journeys, from the time of their children’s diagnosis to the current challenges they face, particularly the lack of support from family, schools, and society. Data analysis revealed that parents often resort to both psychological and physical violence to manage their children’s behavioral difficulties.

The findings indicate that violence against children with ASD is a significant and ongoing concern, emphasizing the urgent need for public awareness campaigns and educational programs to address this issue.
